Method 1: Watch TV series with subtitles in your native language
This method is probably the most enjoyable
Reading subtitles in your own language makes it easy to understand the story
But it’s the least effective way to learn English with TV shows
Since the subtitles aren’t in English, you don’t know the actual English words that the actors are saying
I would recommend this method to only beginners, and only if they combine this method with the next one
روش 1 : سریال‌ها را با زیرنویس زبان مادری خودتان ببینید.
احتمالا این راه لذت‌بخش‌ترین روش است.
خواندن زیرنویس به فارسی باعث فهم آسان داستان می‌شود.
اما نتیجه بخشی این راه از همه کمتر است. از آنجا که زیرنویس انگلیسی نیست، کلمات اصلی بازیگران را متوجه نمی‌شوید.
این روش را فقط به مبتدی‌ها توصیه می‌کنم، به شرطی که آن را با متد بعد ترکیب کنند
Method 2: Watch TV series with English subtitles
With this method, you know the exact English words that are being spoken
It’s a good way to learn English vocabulary
But this approach can be challenging if your English reading skills are poor. (It’s not easy to speed-read the subtitles during a fast-talking scene.)
So if you have trouble with English subtitles, you can watch a show with subtitles in your language first (to learn the plot), then watch it again with English subtitles to learn the vocabulary
روش 2 : سریال‌ها را با زیرنویس انگلیسی تماشا کنید.
با این کار، دقیقا می‌دانید چه کلماتی گفته می‌شود و روش خوبی برای یادگیری واژگان است.
اما ااگردر مطالعه به زبان انگلیسی ضعیف هستید، این راه می‌تواند چالش برانگیز باشد. (تند خوانی زیرنویس حین مکالمه‌ی سریع آسان نیست.)
پس اگر با زیرنویس انگلیسی مشکل دارید، می‌توانید یک بار سریال را با زیرنویس فارسی (برای فهم موضوع) و سپس دوباره با زیرنویس انگلیسی ببینید تا کلمات را یاد بگیرید.
Method 3: Watch TV series without subtitles
If you want to improve your English listening skills, this is the best method
You see, the problem with the previous methods is that they aren’t effective in improving your listening skills
Why? Because when you watch a film with subtitles, your attention is on the subtitles, not the speech sounds. So you’re practicing your reading skills, not listening skills
But if you disable to subtitles, something interesting happens
Now there’s nothing to read! You have no choice but to pay full attention to the spoken sounds
This method can be split into two separate approaches
روش 3 :سریال را بدون زیرنویس تماشا کنید.
برای پیشرفت در مهارت‌های شنیداری، بهترین روش همین است.
ایراد شیوه‌های قبل این است که اثری در بهبود این مهارت ندارند.
چرا؟ چون وقتی فیلمی را با زیرنویس می‌بینید، تمرکزتان روی زیرنویس است، نه صداها. پس به جای شنیدن، دارید تمرین خواندن می‌کنید. اما اگر زیرنویس را بردارید، اتفاق جالبی می‌افتد.
دیگر چیزی برای خواندن نیست! چاره‌ای ندارید جز اینکه کاملا به حرف‌ها توجه کنید.
این روش را می‌توان به دو شیوه تقسیم کرد
Method 3.1: Watch with subtitles first
Watch a show with English subtitles first to learn the plot details, then watch it again without the subtitles
The first viewing improves your vocabulary and reading comprehension, while the second viewing targets your listening skills
روش 3.1 : اول (فیلم را) با زیرنویس ببینید.
برای فهمیدن جزئیات موضوع، دفعه اول فیلم را با زیرنویس انگلیسی و بعد بدون آن ببینید.
تماشای بار اول برای بهبود واژگان و درک مطلب و دفعه دوم برای مهارت‌های شنیداری است
Method 3.2: Watch without subtitles first
This is like the reverse of Method 3.1
Here’s how to do it
Watch the first scene (or dialogue) without subtitles. Listen carefully. Do you best to understand what the actors are saying
If you can understand the scene quite well, that’s great! Continue watching with no subtitles
But if you don’t understand some parts of it, turn on the English subtitles and watch it again. After that, move on to the next scene and repeat the process
Method 3.2 is the most effective way to improve English listening skills
The first time you watch each scene, there are no subtitles, and you have no prior knowledge about that scene. So you have to rely solely on your listening skills to understand what’s going on
But the problem with this approach is that you cannot watch an entire movie or episode in one go. You have to rewind and rewatch some scenes with the subtitles turned on. So if you don’t want to do this,
use Method 3.1 instead
روش 3.2 : دفعه اول بدون زیرنویس ببینید.
این روش، عکس متد قبلی است. به این صورت انجامش دهید:
1:صحنه یا دیالوگ اول را بدون زیرنویس تماشا کنید. به دقت گوش دهید و تمام تلاش خود را برای فهم سخنان بازیگران بکنید.
2:اگر به خوبی متوجه آن صحنه شدید، عالی است! همچنان بدون زیرنویس فیلم را ببینید.
3:اما اگر متوجه بعضی قسمت‌ها نشدید، دوباره آن را با زیرنویس انگلیسی تماشا کنید. سپس به سراغ قسمت بعد بروید و همین طور ادامه دهید.
روش 3.2 بهترین راه پیشرفت در مهارت‌های شنیداری است.
اولین باری که یک قسمت را می‌بینید، هیچ زیرنویسی نیست و شما از قبل درباره‌ی موضوع آگاهی ندارید. پس برای فهم ماجرا ناچارید تنها به گوش دادن تکیه کنید.
اما اشکالش این است که نمی‌توان یک فیلم یا یک قسمت کامل را یکباره تماشا کرد. مجبورید فیلم را به عقب برگردانید و بعضی بخش‌ها را با زیرنویس ببینید. پس اگر به این کار تمایلی ندارید، از روش 3.1 استفاده کنید.
Method 4: Imitate the actors
Unlike the previous methods, this one targets your English speaking skills
Basically, you learn to speak English by copying the actors. When an actor speaks, pause the video and repeat what you hear. Try to say the line in the exact same way, with the same pronunciation. (You can even copy the body language and facial expressions.)
روش 4 : از بازیگران تقلید کنید.
هدف این روش برخلاف قبلی‌ها مهارت مکالمه است.
در اصل با تقلید از بازیگران، انگلیسی حرف زدن را یاد می‌گیرید. وقتی بازیگری حرف می‌زند، ویدیو را متوقف کرده و شنیده‌هایتان را تکرار کنید. سعی کنید دیالوگ را دقیقا همان طور و با همان تلفظ بگویید. ( حتی می‌توانید زبان بدن و حالات چهره‌شان را هم تقلید کنید.)
